Brett Lytle

Esquire

Brett S. Lytle has been practicing law since 1985 and has been a partner in multiple Peninsula firms for over 30 years. Brett’s practice emphasizes counseling clients, families, and businesses in legal and tax matters, estate planning, wealth preservation, wealth transfer and asset preservation relating to his clients’ goals for the management and transfer of their wealth and care for their loved ones to future generations.

 

Brett is knowledgeable about wealth management and the transfer of wealth among generations and is keenly interested in helping his clients preserve their assets and their independence while they are living. He is an active member of the California State Bar Association, the District Of Columbia Appellate Court, United States Tax Court and United States Court of International Trade.

 

Brett completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa. He received a Master’s of Science in Taxation and a Jurist Doctorate from the University of Gonzaga and a Master of Law in Business and Taxation-Transnational Practice from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

 

As a prerequisite for California Department of Insurance’s continuing education program, Brett developed a course entitled Needs Benefit Approach to Estate Planning for Insurance Professionals. This course qualifies for 12 hours of continuing education for the life Insurance Professional. In addition to providing continuing education seminars for Insurance Professionals, Enrolled Agents, Certified Public Accountants and Certified Financial Planners.

 

Brett also provides estate planning seminars for clients and professionals in the insurance, financial planning, real estate and tax preparation fields. He is a national as well as an international speaker and has spoken in numerous conventions across the United States and on international platforms. Brett has also co-authored a book on What to do When a Loved One Dies.
